Oh, dear...

I have entered new realms of ultimate geekdom.  Every time I go to Asda, I promise myself I won't buy either more clothes or more books.  So I come out of Asda with a(nother) new top and Derek Acorah's book.

Yes, you heard me.

The deciding factor in this was purely the fact that he mentions the Brannigans "Godfrey Parks" incident, and this amuses me for some reason.  Honest.

Heh heh, don't worry, I bought it too :)

Was your excuse Brannigans, too? ;)

I believe the excuse I used was,

"Whoops! I've accidentally pressed the 'buy' button.... oh NO! *Now* I've accidentally entered all my credit card details!..." :D

LOL.

At least mine was a VALID excuse...

And is going to continue to be my excuse when I read it from cover to cover and regale anyone who'll listen with Amazing Facts from it...

I have a supermarket-related geek problem too - it's those blasted 3-DVDs-for-£20 offers. I think somebody needs to confiscate my £20 notes some days...

And I just ordered Derek's book off Amazon! :D

[identity profile] izzles.livejournal.com 2004-09-22 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I've already started doing that to anyone who'll listen!

And a few who won't.... ;)

Hee. We must set a date and read it in unison, then post reviews.

Though, obviously, after I've read The Woman in White...

Yes!

As for these damned offers, the good news is that I stayed strong in WH Smith when they had 3 DVDs for £18. The bad news is that they had this buy-one-book-get-one-half-price thing...
