I still blame the shiny with Vista - I'd played around with it before on other people's computers, and HATED it... but the second I had it on MINE, it was like "EEESHINY!!". I swear, they put some kind of hypnotic substance in those sodding "you've beaten Mah Jong!" fireworks.
That does make sense, the specific work-related desktop... albeit a boring kind of sense... and the WMP thing amuses me. I cannot even tell you how happy I was when I discovered my current WinAmp skin; it has fifty different pre-set colour themes, and I have yet to find a desktop wallpaper, however elaborate, that I can't find a perfect match for.
...yes, it is the Very Simple Things that keep me entertained...
