uhhh...

okay, this scares me: [livejournal.com profile] britishisles - it's a community for people who want to be british or move to britain.

i can't help but think... why?

trust me, people. it sucks here.

(although, then again, i'm pretty sure if i ever did move to america, i'd miss fish and chips, and traditional english beaches [they are the only place in the world with that distinctive smell...] and eastenders [*ducks*] and british comedy...)

but then, that's what i have you lot for, right? ;)

sorry if that sounded like i was taking it out on you, by the way... one day i'll get my opinionated bitch streak under control.

It's ok, if you didn't have an opinion you'd have people walking all over you, and you wouldn't be Minh, and then where would we be? :) (Clue: the word begins with "l" and ends with "t" and has an "o" and "s" in it ;)) I've just given up argueing, saying "okay" is just so much easier :) it's an "okay, you believe different to me, but thats fine, we can live with that, the world would be a boring place if everyone agreed on everything" :)

hehe. maybe i should start answering like that, too...

see, i respect other people's opinions. just that sometimes, people are... well, wrong. (in your case, i was agreeing, just vocally...) and when they're obviously wrong, or if they're just ignorant, i can't help myself. i have to correct them in a ranty way.

the only drawback is that i always think i'm right, and i end up in arguments with other people who always think they're right, too. that's why i try to avoid arguing with lloyd and naomi... (especially naomi, because odds are she's usually righter than me...)

I think it's great you have that level of confidence in yourself. Personally, I tend to back down when the other person starts talking in a particulat tone, indicating they really believe they're right, (this normally happens when discussing something that is fact, eg: the difference between our term dates and normal students term dates) because I don't have faith in myself that I'm right. (As it turned out, several times I was right, but thats kinda irrelevent after the conversation)

yeah, but then, even if you do back down and discover later that you're right, you can feel all smug, because you knew you were right all along... ;)

it's not actually so great thinking i'm right. about 50% of the time, it turns out i'm not, and then i look like an idiot...

(and i'm not online 'cause i'm meant to be doing work, but instead i'm still compiling that list of my entire CD collection's track lists...)

Sounds like you're perfecting procrastinating ;) I'll not disturb you any more then, work girl work! ;) Catch you later maybe.
