bbc2 and buffy: "dead things"

teylaminhokay, i had a feeling they'd cut a lot, but this is ridiculous. so far, we've lost:
- the beginning of the conversation between buffy and spike under-the-rug (basically all the bits with spike being, well, spike.) i'm also pretty sure they cut the "do you trust me?" exchange, but i don't remember...
- the katrina/warren bit when the spell actually wears off... but that i can actually understand.
- the end of the bit up on the balcony. again, fair enough... except by the time "beneath you" airs (in, oh, 15 years...) spike's line about going at it again on the balcony won't make any sense in the slightest except to those with vivid imaginations.
- the entire sodding dream sequence! i love that bit! that's the entire reason i love this episode! there's only about 2 shots in that which are actually cut-worthy...
- spike's "balls..." when they find the body... it's nothing with just the expression...
- the entire of buffy beating him half to death. at least sky one left in some of the punches... one minute he's fine, the next he's got a black eye and a swollen lip. nice editing...
okay, you know what? sooner or later, they have to realise that shows like buffy and farscape are not supposed to be on at 6.45pm. *sigh* most of the cuts i can understand, but this one was edited with a blunt hacksaw. although probably only because i know what they missed out...
(and also, oh, the irony of 'the tara thing' at the end of the season. she was the only one who could have helped with all the emotional angst, i think...)
