This entry is of no consequence except to say that choir restarts tonight and thankfully, I am neither knackered nor stroppy, which makes a change. :) I will probably be horrendously tired by the end of rehearsal, and my not-quite-a-cough has decided to return for no apparent reason, which should make actually attempting to sing quite interesting.
This entry is merely a to-do list for myself so I don't forget these things:
That'll dopig.
We just had our BEST meeting, which was actually fairly productive, and - like all of our other team meetings - tinged with a hint of silliness. It's one of those "you-don't-have-to-be-mad-to-work-here..." situations. I have managed to get myself lumbered with the responsibility of being our fund-raising / charity monitor because I suggested we should do more charity work. Am considering turning Talk Like A Pirate Day into a possible charity venture (though possibly only with dressing like a pirate) to raise money for a suitable cause, e.g. Shelter or Save the Children... we'll see. I'll probably chicken out at the last minute.
Right. 40 minutes to kill before I can leave. Best post this and get on with some work, really...
This entry is merely a to-do list for myself so I don't forget these things:
- Book concert ticket for Keith.
- Arrange who wants tickets in immediate family/friends and book those too.
- Photoshop Vicky's flower-tattoo design.
- Redo LJ layout.
- DON'T FORGET TO GO TO CABARET ON THURSDAY NIGHT. (I probably won't, but you know.)
That'll do

First real day back
Date: 2008-09-03 01:08 am (UTC)After class (dammit, I still haven't done my math homework! Oh well, the teacher's a pushover, he'll give me an extension) I came home with every intent to take my employment paperwork downtown to my new job to get filed away. 6:30pm and nobody's home. Curious. Guess nobody booked the hall tonight and everyone got to stay home. So I called my soon-to-be new boss and he told me to bring it around after class tomorrow. An easy feat since I get out early. Finally, almost got something accomplished. I was feeling better. I got back to the dorm and hopped in the shower. The second I got out and was drying off in front of the tv, lo and behold we have a fire drill. So there I am, still damp, not in the mood to be herded out and made to wait on the lawn for the head resident to tell us that it was "safe" to go back in, reminding us that if had been a real fire, we wouldn't have had time to lock doors, get dressed, or grab cell phones and mp3 players.
So, the day was kind of rough, but things will be better tomorrow (I hope). There's a show on Food Network called Food Detectives. It's kind of funny, it's like Mythbusters for food. Today they're testing the poppyseed muffin=failed drug test theory. And....it's true! Who'd have believed it? There, you learned something new today. I'll let you know if anything else interesting comes up later.
I better get cracking on my homework. After the show's over. Maybe.
