I'm still alive. Just. I'm merely (a) skint and (b) knackered, and hence not doing anything remotely of interest.

It's my birthday in 15 days, and the best present I could hope for is a job for Paul. SERIOUSLY. This isn't even remotely funny any more.

I am contemplating some manner of drinks on the 17th, but at this rate I may well not bother and spend the day asleep instead. I would suggest people put themselves on standby nonetheless, as an announcement may be very short notice.

Thanks... The credit crunch can go squish now, plz.

Oh, while you're here, because I keep forgetting to mention - we will buy you food in London before the show on the 23rd as a thank you for the tickets. Assuming Paul remembers to book a table, anyway.

In which case, don't eat before you leave. ;) We'll try and get a table for 6.00ish and the restaurant we have in mind (a good quality, good value bistro) is about 5 minutes away from the theatre. Their service is usually quick so I imagine there's time for a drink afterwards...

I shall confirm details nearer the time.

One is forced to wonder what sort of noise a squished crunch would make... but, yes, very much keeping my fingers crossed for Paul.

RE food, very very much appreciated! Though, of course, you so totally don't have to do that. Money being the evil that it is, good vibes will make a perfectly acceptable substitute if they need to.

And, once again, because it's mandatory -- eeeeeepriscillainlikethreeweeks!!

A squinch, obviously.

I think we can stretch to £10 per head (£11 if you want dessert. :P) It's a two- or three-course set menu and all the food is delicious. We've gone there every time we've been back to London since discovering it by accident...

Oh, in that case, yay!!

And, seriously, £10 for a meal, in London? My brain just exploded.

We couldn't believe it when we found the place, either. It's £9.90 for two courses and £10.90 for three, plus an extra £2.00 for any of the specials. With drinks on top. Either way for three people it's around £40.00, which is more than reasonable... AND it's in the West End, as if it weren't mind-boggling enough to begin with. :)

A lot of people fall into the trap of thinking that London is OMGSOEXPENSIVE, but there are more cheap options out there than the majority of folks realise. :)
