*despairs*

okay, can someone invent transporters soon? please? i will be very grateful...
what follows under the cut are a series of photos so you can share my pain. see, we decided it would be a fantastic plan to move around the furniture in my bedroom (which was, in fact, not my idea, but i liked the sound of it and agreed) in order to create more floor space. well, that's the plan, anyway. i started today with the first bit of the plan (explained with photos) and... well, i may have to change the plan, and that'll create even more work than i have at the moment. and believe me, i didn't think it was possible...
anyway. let's see how it's going, shall we? most of you know what my room looks like; for those who don't, welcome to my world...
before we begin, i apologise for the crappy jpeg quality. until i get my own webspace (christmas!) i have to contend with villagephotos' stupid compression system and speedis not cooperating, and so do you. be patient. soon my complaints will be over. on that issue, anyway. ;)

this is my bed. beneath the bed are two chests of drawers, and two bookcases, and a lot of junk. i meant to take a picture before i'd cleared all of the junk and miscellaneous cuddly toys from the top of the drawers, but you get the idea. anyway. the plan is to move the drawers to under the window, and the bed in a right angle so it's against the other wall (to the left, where the ladder is.) this means i'll have to crawl to the other end of it to sit up and use the light on the wall, but so be it, because currently it's taking up the entire sodding wall. so.

this is the opposite wall and the step/box shelves, that are completely full, mainly with books and useful things, and partially with junk that has nowhere else to live. see, i hoarde, and i refuse to throw anything away. the oddly-shaped purple thing is yet more shelves that house many videos (as do the bookcases under the bed, and another box full of x-files episodes, and the two piles currently living next to the printer... i need DVD sets. seriously. i'd free up a shitload of videos) and more boxes of junk/school stuff that i refuse to throw away. see a pattern developing? anyway, the plan is that they stay exactly where they are, however, i'm not convinced that the bed will fit into the gap between the box shelves and the wall it's currently against, but i'm told it will...

the wardrobe (stuffed to the gills despite having thrown stuff out - yes, you did read that right...) and the computer table i am currently sitting at, which will also be staying where they are. before the move, a television/video unit was taking up the space under the window. it's now sitting on the landing looking forlorn.

voila! drawers under the window (and now housing the television, video and stereo) and very little else achieved... there is now also a chair sitting next to me with the scanner on top of it (nowhere else to put the scanner because the cable's so damn short...) and various stuff under the bed (typewriter and its little drawer unit, which won't fit sodding anywhere because the typewriter is not any-space-in-my-room-shaped.) and then, of course, there's this lot...

the junk, in transit. so, you see my dilemma. i am trying to move around an entire bedroom in precisely 3 square feet of space.
and i've also established i can't throw out the video unit because nothing else will sodding fit anywhere. and that means i'll probably have to move everything else, too, and i don't have enough floor!!
gaaaah.
does anyone possess the strength to hold up lots of piles of things in the air so i have room to manouvre? anyone feel like moving a bed?
didn't think so...
