Meme, stolen from [livejournal.com profile] setting_sun:

If you have fewer than 50 interests, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five interests, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five interests, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em.

Every tenth interest was boring (all of my obscure interests were on other numbers) so I took every fifth in an attempt to make it longer...

Amélie - beautifully directed, shot and acted.  And in French.  It makes me want to run away to Paris, and the soundtrack is mad and French with accordians.  Possibly one of the world's most perfect films.

Beetlejuice - a Burton classic in every sense of the word.  I saw this at the age of 8, pretty much when it first hit the small screen.  In fact, I first saw it at a friend's house, against my mother's wishes, and - of course - loved every sadistic and squishy second of it.  My VHS copy is signed by Glenn Shadix (Otho), whom I met at the London Expo in 2003.  I remember that turning 15 was a milestone because I could go and buy it on video and not have to put up with the ITV edit. :)

Buffy/Giles - one of my Buffy the Vampire Slayer pairings, an early one.  Fully explained in my previous Being A Shipper post some time ago...

Coca-cola - not being a great fan of tea or coffee, this is how I get my caffeine fix.  I am, in fact, addicted, though I'm not getting through as much of the stuff as I was at Uni.  I could get through about four two-litre bottles in just under two weeks before...

Danny Elfman - he.just.rocks.  That is all.

Disneyland Paris - my family can't afford holidays to America, but our tradition is five-yearly trips to EuroDisney.  I love it because it gives me an excuse to act like a small child with no repercussions.  I can squee and run around and relive my childhood to my heart's content.  It's wonderful.  Next trip is due in 2006...

Evanescence - the first proper band I ever saw live.  Also the only one (because Catatonia cancelled their last UK tour, alas) so significant for that reason.  I do like Evanescence's music, even though I know how much of a cliche that makes me...  I still believe it's their raison d'etre to take over the world, fan by fan...

Frasier - never used to like this when it was first on, though I now realise that was because I wasn't old enough to appreciate the humour.  One of the rare American sitcoms that understands irony, although it did outlive its popularity towards the end...

Janeway/Chakotay - my first Star Trek: Voyager pairing, ruined in one fell swoop by terrible writing and lack of care towards canon.  Bah.

Jool/Crais - I'm the only person on the entire of LJ to have this listed as an interest.  That makes me feel special. :)  I'm not the only one to spot it, though, as the gals over on TGUT spotted it before I did.  One of my rare comedy pairings.  Farscape, if anyone cares.

Little Shop of Horrors - first musical that's turned up on this list, and at least it's significant.  The reason I ran out of money in 2003, from going to and from Leeds two weekends in a row to stalk a certain someone and send him fanfic.  The less said about that, the better, even though the show was very, very good.

MHOTP! - bwaha!  Memories of a summer that seems years ago, in the short-lived heyday of Most Haunted-related insanity... I'm grateful for the people I met through it, even though it is now a distant memory...

Music - rather generic.  I like music.  I think music is an incredibly important medium for conveying emotions better than words can, and if I had to go without music, I'd go mad.  I also like films about music (The Piano, The Pianist, Mr Holland's Opus, amongst others, spring to mind) and films with music, and I'm very interested in the 'psychology' of the musical, but I won't go into that here...

Niles/Daphne - my Frasier OTP, and the main reason I started watching it again...  Very enjoyable until about season 9; they overdid it...

Pachalbel's Canon - it's a cliché, but this is going to be my wedding/funeral song, depending which comes first. :P  I love the way that if it's played slowly it can be a dirge, and if it's fast it's joyful.

Plant! - another one where I'm the only one with it listed.  In reference to the holding of Jeremy Finch's plant (that's not a euphemism...) at the stage door of the Manchester Palace Theatre, on the final night of Sunset Boulevard.  One of my treasured memories...

Really bloody stupid ideas - and another one!  I'm infamous for these.  I shouldn't follow them through, but I always do, to much stress and headaches.  Mostly they have good outcomes, invitations to Most Haunted Live! being the most recent...

Schwab's - a Sunset Blvd. reference more than anything else... takes too long to explain.

Singing - er... I like singing.  I find it very cathartic and it's one of my favourite things to do...

Stalking Certain People - I don't do this as often as I used to, because I try not to make a habit of it.  But it's fun. :D

Sunset Blvd. fanfiction - again, I'm the only one who lists this, which could go a long way to explaining why I can't find any. *cries*

The 7th Guest - Trilobyte's early point-and-click game, and one of the first we ever got.  I love both it and its sequel, The 11th Hour, as they're very atmostpheric and spooky, and the puzzles are challenging and amazingly programmed (the acting's a bit clunky in the film-sections, but it's not a movie, after all...)  Stauf is a brilliant character, too.

The Sound of Music - I grew up with this musical and will never stop loving it.  Quite possibly one of the greatest musicals of all time.  Shut up.  I can see you smirking at the back.

Theatre - I love going to the theatre; again, I've grown up with it in some way.  Part of it makes me feel everso cultured, but the other part is just... I don't know.  The feeling of it.  The sound of the orchestra tuning up, and the dimming of the lights.  It's the entire experience I love, possibly because I want it so much...

Wispology - I think me and [livejournal.com profile] last_dance are the only ones who have this listed.  Residual from the days of Farscape Indoctrination, and referring to the study of Crais' hair, which grows expontentially more wispy the angrier/crazier he gets.  Look at "Meltdown", if you don't believe me. :)

Today we moved a wardrobe and I put stuff into it, but my room isn't much tidier.  I need to stop buying clothes.  I've sorted through the damn wardrobe twice this year and I can't throw anything else out, dammit.

Nothing better to do, obviously.  Meh.
